Project description: The new multipurpose arena at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds & Event Center replaces a 2,800-seat livestock arena built in the 1960s. When completed, the facility will have more than 6,000 seats, a restaurant with a full kitchen and agricultural space in the annex for community partnerships. Designed by BRP Architects, the engineers are Heithaus Engineering & Associates Inc., civil; Bergmann Engineering Co. LLC, structural; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
