Project description: A new lazy river attraction and pool house are being added to the Republic Aquatic Center. The lazy river is designed with dual waterslides, three waterfalls and a toddler area, among other features, officials say. Sapp Design Associates Architects Inc. is the project architect, and engineers are J&M Engineering LLC, structural; Olsson Inc., civil; Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; SWT Design (St. Louis), landscape; and Aquatic Design Consultants (Louisburg, Kansas), consulting.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
