Project description: A new maintenance facility will replace one destroyed by a fire in 2020, and officials say it will house a repair shop area with multiple bays, as well as an office, break room and restroom. The project also includes removing a roadway and paving a new one from Lake Springfield Road up to the new building area. The architect is Sapp Design Associates Architects Inc., and engineers are Toth & Associates Inc., civil and structural, and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
