Project description: A building dedicated to health, physical education and recreation is under construction in the Strafford R-VI School District. School officials say the building also will be used for extra classroom space, band and elementary indoor recess. The site will have a turf field, batting cages, and a baseball and softball diamond. Renderings show a building with a high, vaulted roof line and a large indoor playing surface with a retractable dividing wall. Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective is the architect and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, Anderson Engineering Inc. is the civil engineer, and Miller Engineering is the structural engineer.
