Cardinals for the Win
The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools selected the Springfield Cardinals as its Corporate Partner of the Year. Cardinals General Manager Dan Reiter, second from right, accepts the award from Natalie Murdock, the foundation’s executive director. Demolition work is underway Aug. 31 for developer Brent Brown’s Boomertown Lofts along National Avenue, across from Missouri State University’s Cheek Hall. The $4.6 million development calls for 70 apartments across two buildings, as well as retail space. Completion is scheduled for spring 2018.

Help in the Hurricane
