Meaningful Work
Shawn Askinosie and his daughter, Lawren Askinosie, visit Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California. During the trip, the Askinosies discussed the book they co-authored, “Meaningful Work: A Quest to Do Great Business, Find Your Calling, and Feed Your Soul.” The book, published by TarcherPerigee and released on Nov. 14, details Shawn Askinosie’s transition from a criminal defense lawyer to the founder of small-batch chocolate manufacturer Askinosie Chocolate.
A safe room and classroom addition at Willard Central Elementary School will be used by the music, arts and athletic programs for a district that had 4,536 students last year, according to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education figures, but school officials say enrollment is projected to grow.
