Five companies are in the running for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award. Nixa High School Deca students take home awards after participating in the March 24-26 Deca State Career Development Conference in Kansas City. The school’s Deca chapter earned the opportunity to advance to the International Career Development Conference. Eight Nixa students won awards in areas that include sports and entertainment marketing and team decision-making.
