Traza to close in Farmers Park

Posted online

Traza, a rooftop restaurant operating in Farmers Park on the south side, is slated to close in December around 10 months after debuting.

The closure date is scheduled Dec. 29 for the fine dining establishment at 2144 E. Republic Road, Ste. 401, according to a company Facebook post yesterday.

"After a couple of months of reflection and careful consideration, we have reached the difficult decision to bring this chapter to a close," the post reads. "While it is a bittersweet moment for us, we look forward to the future with optimism and excitement. We are confident that this experience will serve as a stepping stone towards new opportunities and growth.

"The lessons we have learned and the memories we have created will forever hold a special place in our hearts."

Traza was brought to Farmers Park by Alejandro Hernandez, who also is the co-founder of Catrina's, an upscale Mexican restaurant at 2925 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. 105.

Traza filled the top-floor space vacated by Progress' bar venture Reverie. Progress, which operated in the building’s ground floor, also closed this year, according to past reporting.

Traza’s menu includes duck, sea bass, alligator, filet mignon and salmon dishes, according to its website.
