A marina on Table Rock Lake is under new ownership, after two Atlanta-based companies joined together on the deal.
Mongo Holdings LLC announced in a Nov. 3 news release it partnered with Keel Funds, a private equity firm that specializes in marina investments, to acquire Kings River Marina in Shell Knob. Mongo Holdings subsidiary Taylor Mercantile is listed as the new owner of the 2.7-acre marina.
The purchase price was not disclosed in the release, and officials could not be reached immediately for comment this morning.
Keel Funds' planned facility improvements at Kings River Marina include an expansion of boat storage capacity through the construction of a new wet dock, the installation of new boat lifts and an increase in the number of rental boats and personal watercraft. Kings River Marina currently has 192 wet slips for boat storage accommodating vessels up to 60 feet, as well as a 3,200-square-foot restaurant.
"Given the large amount of tenant demand in the area for each of these marina offerings, we are confident each of these initiatives will be met with strong results. We are excited about this new venture and investment and look forward to adding more in the future with Mongo Holdings," said Bill Boden, co-owner of Keel Funds, in the release.
