Missouri State University athletic revenue is on the rise, according to a new report by USA Today.
The database shows revenue for schools that are part of the NCAA’s Division I. Public record requests were made to each university by USA Today and the Knight-Newhouse Data project at Syracuse University.
At MSU, revenue was $29.9 million in 2022, according to the report. That's a 7.7% increase from $27.8 million in 2020 and the largest figure collected by USA Today since the data series began in 2005. The report does not include data on schools for 2021.
Among the Division I schools listed, MSU ranks No. 114 out of 232 by revenue. No. 1 is Ohio State, at $251.6 million, and University of Missouri places at No. 28, with $141.2 million in 2022 revenue.
The data for MSU also show 2022 ticket sales of $1.1 million, up from nearly $1 million in 2020.
