Architecture
Kinetic Design and Development LLC hired Mike Hayward as business development officer. He previously worked for Liberty Utilities and its predecessor, Empire District Electric Co., 1984-2023, holding positions in operations as a lineman and in management roles.

Banking & Finance
The Guaranty Bank Board of Directors reelected James Batten as chair and elected Tim Stack as vice chair. Board chair since 2022, Batten has had a career in finance as a certified public accountant for multiple companies, most recently International Dehydrated Foods’ chief financial officer. He’s also a board member for AG Financial Solutions and Foundation Capital Resources and has served on the Nasdaq Issuer Affairs Committee. Stack, a Guaranty Bank board member since 2020, works as executive vice president of SRC Holdings Inc. and also serves on the boards of the Think Big Foundation and Play for Springfield Inc.

Guaranty Bank promoted Carrie Eakins and Leora Choate to branch banking officers at the Farmers Park and South National locations, respectively.  Both employees have worked at the bank since 2017 and have served as assistant branch banking managers for the past two years.

Engineering
Olsson Inc. senior landscape architect Jane Earnhart was appointed to the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Professional Landscape Architects by Gov. Mike Parson. The goal of the board is to protect Missourians’ property from damage or destruction via incompetent or unlawful industry practices. A 13-year employee at Olsson, Earnhart manages projects involving parks, trails, streetscapes and community greenspaces.

Health Care
Mercy Springfield Communities promoted Mike Cosgrove to lead senior manager for client services in the employer relations department. He’s responsible for connecting employers and their employees with Mercy’s health care resources in the Springfield region. Cosgrove previously served Mercy as client services manager and a membership marketing specialist.

Dr. Justin W. Reed joined Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Rheumatology and Osteoporosis Center. Treating patients with arthritis, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, he holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a master’s in bioethics from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed residency in internal medicine at University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, as well as a rheumatology fellowship at University of Missouri-Columbia.

Nonprofit
The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & Convention and Visitors Bureau issued its 2023 awards during the annual Black Tie Gala: Mary Award (in honor of Mary Herschend and Mary Trimble): Ann McDowell; Care for Kids Award: Mary Kellogg; Pioneer Award: Bob, Pat and Phil Cox; Community Spirit Award: Clay Cooper; Beautification Award: Branson Bank; Ambassador Award: Derek Smith; and President Awards: Ball Parks of America and Babe Ruth League.
