A community volunteer is Junior League of Springfield, Missouri Inc.'s 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
The nonprofit women's community service organization presented the award to Heather Trinca during a May 23 luncheon held at Hickory Hills Country Club, according to a news release issued this morning. Crista Hogan, former JLS president and the 2021 JLS Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, presented the award.
"Heather is a true servant leader who creates a culture of trust, unselfishly creating leadership in others. She is kind and tireless and talented, and we are fortunate to have her," said Hogan, executive director of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, in the release.
JLS officials cited Trinca's work in the research, development and implementation of the organization's most recent signature project, partnering with area agencies to open Isabel's House Crisis Nursery in 2007; co-founding the JLS Founders Fund and helping to raise nearly $300,000 in the last two years; and community service with groups such as Leadership Springfield and the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools.
Moseley’s Discount Office Products was purchased; Side Chick opened in Branson; and the Springfield franchise store of NoBaked Cookie Dough changed ownership.
