Project description: Boasting 1,600 locations in 41 states, Caliber Collision is bringing a local auto body shop to life on the city’s south side, with a building taking shape on Republic Road, east of Kansas Expressway and behind a Break Time convenience store. The preengineered metal building, on a 2-acre lot, will feature a metal panel exterior with a stone masonry entrance. It will include a lobby with three offices, a meeting room and a break room, according to Travis Hatley of project owner Cross Development LLC. The Caliber Collision website touts continuous training for its technicians and multiple auto industry certifications and adds that it is the largest collision repair company in the United States. Digital publication Aftermarket Matters notes Caliber is approaching $6 billion in annual sales.
