14 Mill Market opens for business in Nixa

Posted online

After being announced in 2021, a food hall concept anticipated by Springfield-area foodies has opened for business.

14 Mill Market, at 203 E. Mount Vernon St. in Nixa, is holding its grand opening today after a soft launch, according to the company's Facebook page.

Husband-and-wife owners Rich and Leah Callahan are behind the $3.7 million, 12,000-square-foot venture on 3.6 acres, according to past reporting.

"I hope this is a place where people can feel rest after busyness," Leah Callahan told Springfield Business Journal in April.

SBJ previously reported the lineup of vendors at the food hall was Abby’s Acai Co., D’Vine Deli & Wine LLC, Fresh Poke LLC, Liege Love Waffle Co., Lindsay’s Kitchen LLC, Mo Slider Co., Nat’cho Ordinary Taco, Queen City Soul Kitchen LLC and Sno Biz Plus LLC. All signed one-year leases for an undisclosed rate.

Additionally, 14 Mill Market's website shows Pie Paradiso, a sister company of D’Vine Deli & Wine, and an upcoming concept called Wisner Bar.

Vendors surround a common area for customers that has capacity for 220 seats indoors, in addition to outdoor seating. A turf field has been installed for outdoor entertainment options, and a stage will be available for concerts, according to past reporting.

“I’m really excited about all of the outdoor dining and play space,” Callahan told SBJ in April. “It’s just for a culture of relaxing with families of all ages. I cannot wait to be open to watch everybody.”

Construction delays pushed the opening back from an original planned 2022 launch.
