The new year is bringing a new restaurant to 14 Mill Market.

The Nixa food hall announced in a Dec. 15 Facebook post that The Gochu Handcrafted Korean BBQ Bowl would open in January.

"Chef Leo Kim will be bringing casual Korean-inspired flavors and creativity with a bold blend of international flavors," the post reads. "Chef Kim, originally from Korea, grew up in Argentina and then moved to Los Angeles where he began his adventure as a chef."

The Gochu would have menu options such as a brisket bulgogi bowl, a Thai chili fried chicken sandwich and kimchi quesadillas.

Kim, who has served as a restaurant consultant for multiple companies, previously operated The Gochu in El Paso, Texas, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The Gochu joins London Calling Pasty Co. as newly announced tenants at 14 Mill Market set to debut in January.

Doug Gruenberg of D'Vine Delicatessen & Wine and Pie Paradiso said in a recent email that those concepts are exiting 14 Mill Market, with plans to replicate them elsewhere.

Queen City Soul Kitchen co-owner Francine Pratt said the restaurant's last day at 14 Mill Market was Dec. 10. She said the company's restaurant at 1626 N. Boonville Ave. in Springfield remains open.
