Trump's future chief of staff called him 'terrible human being' in 2016

President Donald Trump's acting chief of staff called him "a terrible human being" during a campaign debate in 2016.

"Yes, I'm supporting Donald Trump," Mulvaney said during his run in 2016 for a South Carolina congressional seat. "I'm doing so as enthusiastically as I can, given the fact that I think he's a terrible human being, but the choice on the other side is just as bad."

The White House budget director, Mulvaney is slated to succeed John Kelly as chief of staff at year's end.
