Prime EcoShred Tire Recycling Facility
2848 N. Le Compte Road
Prime Inc. is developing a recycling center to separate and shred used truck tires into raw materials suitable for other commercial products or for further recycling. Valued at $3 million per a city building permit, the 44,000-square-foot temperature-controlled facility houses equipment that only exists in a few other facilities worldwide, officials say. GHN Architects + Engineers is serving as project architect and is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering work. Killian Construction Co. is general contractor, with additional engineering work from Lee Engineering and Associates LLC, civil; and Miller Engineering PC, structural. The project is slated for completion in April.
