It was a successful first day of trading for social media company Pinterest and videoconferencing business Zoom.
After starting its initial public offering at $19 per share, Pinterest's price began trading at $23.75 and ended the day up over 28 percent to $24.40.
Zoom's stock rose by more than 72 percent, closing at $62.
