A world record was set this week at an auction for price per carat for a pink diamond.
Harry Winston, the owner of Swatch Group, bought the diamond for $50.4 million.
Known as the Pink Legacy, Winston immediately renamed the 18.96-carat stone The Winston Pink Legacy.
