Weezie’s Boutique LLC
After 40 years of ministry and nonprofit work, Jeanie Williams made a career change buying Weezie’s Upscale Retail Boutique Outlet on July 10 from founder Josie Wodtke for undisclosed terms. On the Ozark Square at 201 W. Church St. for 15 years, Williams said Weezie’s buys and resells women’s clothing and accessories less than 2 years old by such brands as Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and Liz Claiborne. Williams, who operates the 3,000-square-foot shop with a part-time worker, also sells new product from boutique brands, such as Kan Can USA, Piko and Umgee, at outlet prices. Weezie’s Boutique LLC signed a 10-year lease with Wodtke, and Williams said she may buy the building. For the last 15 years, she served as executive director of Options Pregnancy Clinic in Branson, helping women through unplanned pregnancies, and she previously wrote curricula for LifeWay Christian Resources and worked as children’s minister at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Bigler Law Office
John Bigler, who has practiced law in Illinois for 19 years, moved to Springfield on July 1 and opened an office in the Ransin and O’Reilly building at 4045 E. Sunshine St. He leases the space from his brother-in-law, Tim O’Reilly, in the new building shared by O’Reilly Hospitality Management LLC, O’Reilly & Preston LLC and Ransin Injury Law. Bigler Law Office handles corporate litigation, criminal defense and personal injury cases. Bigler said the firm was founded in 1966 about 30 miles east of Cape Girardeau in Anna, Illinois, by his father Dick Bigler, who became a judge in 1976 and later reopened the practice in 2000. The younger Bigler joined the firm in 2014, after 10 years as in-house counsel for Cunningham Electronics Corp. Prior to that, he was an elected prosecutor, an attorney and a member of law enforcement. Bigler, who said two young attorneys will be taking over the Anna office during the next two years, also acts as director of asset and development transactions for O’Reilly Hospitality Management. He and O’Reilly met while studying at Westminster College, and O’Reilly married Bigler’s sister, Brooke.

Central Marketing Transport LLC
Edinburgh, Indiana-based Central Marketing Transport LLC settled into a new maintenance and driver facility in Stafford in March and held a ribbon cutting Sept. 22. CMT owner and President Alan Wilkerson said the trucking company, which has had a presence in Strafford since 2004, invested $2 million building the 20,000-square-foot center and another $200,000 buying land at 9602 E. State Highway OO. In the move, CMT replaced a smaller operation leased about three miles away on Evergreen Street. The new six-bay hub – eight miles east of Springfield on Interstate 44 – is twice as large and has 120 employees, including owner-operators, providing service to 115 trucks and 170 trailers. The land has room for expansion, Wilkerson said. CMT’s history dates to 1913, according to its website, and the company delivers fruits, vegetables and other products to retail and food service customers across the Midwest.
