Banking and Finance
The Bank of Missouri named Michele King regional retail manager for its southwest markets and hired Peter Connelly as a vice president and commercial loan officer. King oversees retail branch managers. Connelly has worked in lending for 10 years, most recently at Central Bank of the Ozarks and Branson Bank.

Education
Drury University’s Breech School of Business Administration selected Penny Clayton, Joel Romines and Jim Spangler for induction to its Hall of Fame. Clayton, a professor emeritus and 1983 graduate, is the founder of PRC Consulting Group PC and operates Clayton Family Office. Romines, class of 1968, founded Knightsbridge Advisers for institutional investors in London and retired in 2015. Spangler, an alum from 1961, is the CEO and president of Helping Hand Home Health Co. in Michigan and has served on the boards of the Michigan Humane Society, Detroit Institute for Children and Flint Institute of Music.

The Ozark Board of Education hired Kent Sappington as executive director of elementary learning, Constance Leonard as Finley River School principal and Eric Russell as Ozark Middle School principal for the 2019-20 school year. Sappington has worked as principal at Ozark East Elementary since 2007 and taught second, third and fifth grades. Leonard has 30 years of experience and currently is the coordinator of college and career readiness for Springfield Public Schools. Russell has served as assistant principal at Buchanan Elementary and Intermediate schools in Branson since 2010.

SPS named three new principals to begin in the fall: Josh Groves at Glendale High School, Sara Strohm at Reed Academy and Jennifer Webb at Twain Elementary School. Groves, the current principal of Pleasant View K-8 School, succeeds the retiring Natalie Cauldwell at Glendale. Strohm is current assistant principal at Westport Middle School and succeeds the retiring Debbie Grega at Reed. Webb is the current principal of Williams Elementary School.

Government
Gov. Mike Parson reappointed Marie Carmichael and Bradley Gregory to the Missouri Development Finance Board, and he appointed Derek Poe to the Missouri Propane Safety Commission. Carmichael is president of Affordable Homes Development Inc., and Gregory is president and CEO of Bank of Bolivar. Poe, of Strafford, is the district manager of Titan Propane in Branson and Joplin, and he has served as president of the Missouri Propane Gas Association since July 2018.

President Donald Trump appointed Parson to the Council of Governors, a panel advising the secretary of Defense, secretary of Homeland Security and the White House Homeland Security Council. The governors address issues related to the National Guard, national defense and security, civil support missions and disaster responses. Parson served for six years in the U.S. Army and 22 years in law enforcement, including 12 years as Polk County sheriff.

Marketing
ADsmith Marketing and Advertising added Helen Agnew as senior account supervisor. She operated her own ad agency, The Next Level, for seven years.
