Mercy Springfield Communities’ third co-branded urgent care center in Springfield is opening this week.
Sonya Kullmann, spokeswoman for the health care system, said the Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care at 3233 E. Sunshine St. in the Sidewalk Plaza shopping center is scheduled to start seeing patients tomorrow.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at 11 a.m. this morning, followed by tours of the 2,200-square-foot space, located on the west side of the shopping center.
The urgent care center filled the last space available in Sidewalk Plaza, which also houses Eat Fit Go Healthy Foods, Pita Pit, Jimmy John’s and Cricket Wireless, Springfield Business Journal previously reported.
With existing locations at 900 E. Battlefield Road in Battlefield Market Place and 2150 W. Republic Road in Magers Crossing, the centers are a partnership between Mercy and GoHealth Urgent Care, an affiliate of Access Clinical Partners LLC, which is owned by TPG Growth.
GoHealth Urgent Care provides clerical and support staff and create the physical space for the centers, and Mercy provides health care providers and nurse practitioners, according to past SBJ reporting.
