A student sued the billionaire CEO of Chinese e-commerce company JD.com.
The suit seeks damages of more than $50,000, alleging CEO Richard Liu committed rape in August 2018.
The student, Jingyao Liu of the University of Minnesota, is not related to Richard Liu.
A JD.com attorney said the company is “not in position to comment at this time” but “will vigorously defend these meritless claims against the company.”
