Calabasas, California-based Harbor Freight Tools is hiring for its newest Missouri store scheduled to open this summer.
The tool and equipment retailer, which operates more than 20 stores in Missouri, is seeking 25-30 employees for its Branson location at 1495 State Highway 248, said Jocelyn Hernandez, spokeswoman for Harbor Freight.
The Missouri Job Center is scheduled to host a May 16 hiring event at its Branson office, 2720 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Ste. B. Harbor Freight is seeking full- and part-time workers to work in logistics and sales, according to a news release.
Hernandez said the store is slated to host a soft opening on June 19, followed by a grand opening on July 4.
In Branson, Harbor Freight is following a similar pattern to that of its second Springfield store.
The 24,500-square-foot building in Branson formerly housed a Staples store, according to a listing at Loopnet.com.
Last year, Harbor Freight opened a Springfield store at 2636 N. Kansas Expressway, also a former Staples. The company also operates at store at 3909 S. Campbell Ave.
Harbor Freight has more than 850 stores in its portfolio, according to its website.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
