Project description: On nearly 2 acres off of East Republic Road and South Fremont Avenue, Zimmerman Corporate is building a multistory headquarters for its family of companies. About 100 employees of Zimmerman Properties LLC, Zimmerman Properties Construction LLC and Wilhoit Properties Inc. plan to move in late March from their Southgate Center offices less than a mile away on Republic Road, said Senior Vice President Matt Zimmerman. He said the timeline was pushed back from January due to weather delays. The steel structure on three levels, including a basement, will feature a modern design with a lot of glass, he said. The companies manage over 200 affordable-living properties comprising 15,000 units in 16 states, Zimmerman said, mostly senior living and multifamily communities in the Midwest and Southeast.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
