Project description: Bryan Magers of Bryan Properties LLC is developing a residence hall across from Missouri State University’s campus with a private parking garage and dining facility. The building, which currently is unnamed, will include a four-story parking garage with over 280 parking spaces, topped with three levels of living space. The residence hall is designed with 200 double occupancy bedrooms as well as a private bathroom on each floor. Gary Stewart, director of MSU’s residence life, housing and dining services, said the first floor would include a dining facility, the first level of parking and a retail space, slated to be a fresh food market. He said one of the perks is the proximity to the larger academic buildings on campus, such as Glass and Strong halls. “Housing options are something that students are looking at when they look for a college,” Stewart said. Residency costs will likely range between $3,000 and $4,000 a semester, he said, similar to other suite-style living on campus. Stewart said MSU plans buy the property from Magers for no more than $24 million, once completed.
