Project description: At the northwest corner of the U.S. Highway 65 and State Highway 248 interchange, Mercy officials broke ground May 2, 2016, for the multispecialty clinic. The new facility’s design allows for added services with an emphasis on Mercy Virtual Care, allowing patients to speak with specialists throughout the St. Louis-based health system’s territory via webcams and the internet, according to Mercy officials. In addition to primary and urgent care, spokeswoman Sonya Kullmann said the clinic will offer 15 specialties, including autism therapy, obstetrics, noninvasive cardiology, oncology and ophthalmology. Mercy first received Branson Board of Aldermen approval in 2013 at the former site of the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre, which was demolished.
Missouri State University’s science building, built in 1971 and formerly called Temple Hall, is being reconstructed and updated.
