NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick filed to trademark a black and white image of his face and hair.
His company, Inked Flash, intends to use the image on products ranging from shampoo and hairspray to jewelry and lampshades, according to a filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
If the trademark is granted, the image also may be used to provide "classes, workshops, seminars and camps in the field of self-empowerment and awareness to properly interact with law enforcement."
