Big Whiskey’s signs Oklahoma franchise deal

Posted online

Big Whiskey’s signed a two-store deal to enter the Sooner State.

Through the franchise agreement penned in March with Tulsa businessman Sean Sylvester, the first restaurant in Oklahoma is slated to open later this year, according to a news release issued Friday.

“The Big Whiskey’s brand really stood out to me: It’s catchy but original, and their product speaks for itself,” said Sylvester, who’s also director of western operations for Slim Chickens, the owner of Shiloh’s Family Restaurant in Tulsa and a franchisee for Simple Simon’s Pizza and Cheezie’s Pizza, in the release. “It will be a welcome addition to our restaurant landscape in Tulsa.”

Big Whiskey’s spokeswoman Laura Head Elliott said a location for the first Tulsa restaurant has been identified. However, she declined to disclose the site as “details are not final.”

Franchisees are estimated to invest $755,500 to $1.4 million, including a $50,000 franchise fee, for a single location, according to BigWhiskeysFranchise.com.

In April, Big Whiskey’s franchisee H2B Restaurants LLC signed on to bring a restaurant to Jefferson City. Big Whiskey’s latest franchise store opened during February in Las Vegas.

The company currently has 11 restaurants, including two franchisee-operated locations, according to the release.
