Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s each ranked in the top 20 on a customer experience study by an online reputation management company.

On Reputation.com’s 2018 Retail Reputation Report, Bass Pro placed 11th with a rating of 654 out of a possible 1,000 points, and its Cabela’s business ranked 20th with a rating of 594. The study used artificial intelligence, machine learning and sentiment analysis to examine 4.7 million online consumer reviews on Google and Facebook for some 88 retail chains and their combined 30,000 locations, according to a news release.

“We are honored to receive this distinction from our customers, which is a reflection of our remarkable team members and their efforts every day,” Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in the release.

Bass Pro also ranked first in the sporting goods category, 22nd for customer service, 14th for cleanliness, 17th for convenience, 19th for product availability, and 20th for parking, facilities and amenities. Cabela’s also placed 18th for cleanliness, 24th for convenience, and fifth for parking, facilities and amenities.

On the overall list, Lego Store ranked first, followed by Trader Joe’s, Nordstrom, Wegmans and Barnes & Noble.

Bass Pro’s ranking on the Retail Reputation Report comes on the heels of the Springfield-based outdoor retailer placing second this fall on the Hot 100 Retailers list published in the National Retail Federation’s Stores magazine.
