Amazon plans to lay off hundreds of corporate employees, people familiar with the matter told The Seattle Times.
The layoffs include several hundred employees at the company's Seattle headquarters, as well as hundreds more elsewhere in global operations.
According to the sources, the layoffs are focused largely on Amazon's customer retail businesses.
