Dallas-based Urban Air Adventure Park is planning to bring its concept to Battlefield Mall.
The more than 30,000-square foot attraction, called an “adventure park” by company officials, is slated to open early next year in Springfield, according to a news release issued this morning to Springfield Business Journal.
Located next to Sears and across from the food court, the park’s planned features include:
• wall-to-wall trampolines;
• dodgeball courts;
• a stunt airbag;
• slam dunk area;
• tumble track;
• obstacle course; and
• a concept called Urban Cafe.
A spokeswoman representing Battlefield Mall was unable to confirm the exact location for Urban Air Adventure Park’s attraction. Wichita, Kansas-based Glowgolf reopened last year in a 25,000-square-foot space that had been home to MC Sports. Glowgolf currently operates at the space next to Sears and across from the food court. Glowgolf Director of Marketing Chris McGinnis said he believes Urban Air Adventure Park will take its space in the mall, and Glowgolf will seek to relocate within the shopping center.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
