Brentwood, Tennessee-based IMAC Holdings Inc. is bringing its Ozzie Smith-branded clinic to Springfield.
IMAC, which stands for integrated medicine and chiropractic, agreed to purchase southwest Missouri outpatient therapy clinic operator Advantage Therapy LLC for undisclosed terms, according to a news release.
Through the deal, IMAC is expanding on its partnership with Smith, a Hall of Fame former baseball player for the St. Louis Cardinals. IMAC opened its first Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Center in 2016.
“Expanding Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Centers beyond St. Louis to the Springfield market allows us to provide ready access to treatment options without surgery or opioids,” Smith said in the release. “I am committed to helping Missourians who are living with pain know they have hope for a better quality of life, and opening IMAC clinics in new locations helps achieve that goal.”
IMAC, which currently operates seven clinics in Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee, adds Advantage Therapy’s four locations in Springfield, Monett and Ozark.
The Advantage Therapy clinics all will take on the Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Center branding during the first quarter, according to the release.
“Advantage is excited to join Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Centers, the leader in the field of regenerative medicine,” Advantage Therapy founder Chuck Renner said in the release. “We saw the need in our community for regenerative treatment options and are confident that this combination with IMAC is going to be valuable for the people of Springfield and southwest Missouri.”
With the acquisition by IMAC, Advantage Therapy’s clinics will add regenerative medicine to its slate of therapy services for chronic pain and acute injury.
In addition to its two current centers with Smith, IMAC also operates two David Price IMAC Regeneration Centers in partnership with the baseball pitcher and a Tony Delk IMAC Regeneration Center in partnership with the basketball player, according to the release.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
